Encouraging collaboration
Our brief was to come up with a biophilic design that would complement the rich green and red tones of the over-arching interior design, and enhance the social spaces to draw people in.
A sense of shared culture
This is an office rich in social space and the client wanted to focus on making these areas as inviting as possible to encourage collaboration and foster a sense of shared culture. A large expanse of banquette seating was the obvious place for a lush stretch of planting, which frames the seating area beautifully, adding colour and texture. This is echoed with preserved planting in floor standing troughs – the two types of planting work extremely well together.
A special space to congregate
We provided bespoke furniture troughs to achieve the desired effect of continuing the planting along the entire length of the window. This makes it a special space to congregate. Tabletop plants in different colours and textures echo the planting throughout the space.
A green oasis
A large empty area under the stairwell has been made into a lush indoor garden with tall tropical fronds spilling out onto a built-in seating area. Plant species were chosen and positioned according to light levels to make this space a green oasis all year round.
Mix and match scheme
This project was a mix and match scheme with some preserved planting purchased outright, and the living planting supplied on a rental basis, which comes with our maintenance package as standard.
