Collaboration a key principle

We worked with fit-out company Paramount and design consultancy Burtt-Jones & Brewer on this project. The three-storey building required a complete redesign to bring together multiple teams under one roof, for the first time. Encouraging and enabling collaboration between teams was a key principle of the project, as well as enhancing employee wellbeing.

Combining industrial with natural

Striking mesh panels were used to create zones throughout the design. Combined with vintage factory-style lighting and exposed ductwork, the overall look is modern industrial, but this is softened with accents of bright colour and biophilia. Replica trailing ivy weaves naturally throughout the grid work of the mesh, scrambling upwards and extending the effect of the living planting in joinery planters. Replica plants hang from the lowered ceilings too, which also softens the industrial effect.

Pops of colour

In the breakout and office spaces, the deep greens of the planting schemes in cabinet-top troughs provide a vibrant contrast to the zesty oranges and yellows used for soft seating. We used eye-catching variegated marantas and calatheas to create colour and interest. The vibrant greens of a preserved moss wall above a bank of bright orange seating makes a welcoming area for impromptu catch ups.

Hitting the brief

We worked closely with Burtt-Jones & Brewer to interpret and refine the specification of planting for this scheme and make sure we achieved the exact look they desired. We think the end result is very distinctive and full of personality.
