Reinventing the workplace

PZ Cussons, alongside Incognito, already had plans to create a forward-thinking workspace, but this was brought to the forefront of the space with their team looking to answer: “How do we create a cultural place to come back into it, and how do we get pace and passion back into the business?” describes Simon Millington, Incognito Director (in Mix).

Biophilia was key to creating an environment that employees wanted to return to, fostering creativity and nurturing belonging within the space. From the moment you enter the office, you’re met with plants and greenery, a theme that continues throughout the entire workspace.

A focus on biophilia

Recognising that biophilia is key in both focus-work and collaboration settings, we helped to integrate living plant troughs into communal zones, freestanding planters to help break up the space, and incorporate custom trees and greenery in high-footfall spaces.

With sustainability a key element of this project, we ensured that each of the schemes we worked on for the various work zones incorporated EnviroLeaf, our peat-free method of planting.

Nowadays, people come into the office to experience life. What better way to create a living workspace than to integrate biophilia? The greenery throughout the scheme truly elevates the space and helps to deliver a truly engaging workspace where people want to spend time.

A place where people can thrive

"Designed by Incognito and delivered by Flexible Business Interiors, the reimagination of PZ Cussons’ global HQ took just 12 months to complete and is an example of fast-paced, thorough workplace consultancy, followed by creative, future-proofed design and impeccable construction." – Mix

“PZ Cussons were clear from the outset about where they want the business to go, they have a great back story but are forward-thinking, and they aspire to provide a better, healthier, more inspirational working environment for their staff.

Much of the interior design concept focuses on creating dynamic, innovative spaces in which PZ Cussons’ employees can thrive; spaces that draw on the characteristics of their leading brands.”
