Hardworking solutions for high traffic areas

The brief was to create a modern, uplifting social space for students to relax in, with an emphasis on physical and mental well being. Biophilia was a natural choice and this is integrated throughout the different zones in the space. These are hardworking facilities with a high footfall, so a replica planting scheme was the perfect solution. High quality replica planting requires little care or attention and remains fresh and appealing for years to come. It can be used to soften even the darkest corner and has a positive effect on mental wellbeing. 

A place to dwell 

The Garden Hangout is a peaceful sanctuary with greenery and sunlight – perfect for students to take time out from study. We used EnviroGrids to suspend planting from the ceiling and floor standing clusters of tropical plants to create cosy corners to congregate. Our ‘Nature Rib’ planting pots are kinder to the planet because they are made with 100% recycled materials. They’re also lightweight, making it easy to rearrange clusters to create new spaces.

Flexibility for a multi-functional space

The Social Hangout is a flexible space that must cater to a variety of events. Our mobile EnviroZone planters make great screens between seating to create cosy areas, but can easily be moved to create larger spaces for events or to refresh the layout of the space. 

A social media hit with students

This scheme was purchased outright and despite the hardworking nature of the facilities, the replica design will remain looking fresh and inviting, with minimal maintenance. It’s certainly been a hit on social media with lots of positive comments on how it has transformed the space!
