The challenge
HSBC wanted their centrally-located headquarters to be a contemporary hub for its people. Vantage Spaces had a vision of including stunning green walls which span the height of the building, which is cleverly reflected in the modern glass elements surrounding it. With each green wall sanding at around 4 metres tall, and covering 11-storeys, over 5,500 plants would be required to create the ambitious scheme.
The results
Starting on the ground floor atrium, visitors to HSBC's headquarters are greeted by an arrangement of lush green plants, surrounded by contemporary materials such as glass and metal walls. As visitors take the glass elevator up through the building, the lift doors open on every floor to reveals a vertically-aligned green wall installation to continue the theme, accentuating the height of the grand building.
With the help of Vantage Spaces, a vibrant, organic atmosphere has been created for HSBC staff and visitors – one that truly leaves a lasting impression.
